Sketch Panel Series 2009
A series of mixed media and drawing on gessoed wood.
This work is a direct reflection and inspiration from my own sketchbook.
I am attempting to use the same sensabilities I use when I work freely in my sketchbook,
while adding the extra element of collage.
The subjects are created through automatism, imagination, fantasy and horror. They are all 7.5" x 7.5" x 1" on wood. See below for "The Weird Alphabet" a series that spun from the sketch-panel Series.

THE WEIRD ALPHABET "The Weird Alphabet" is a series that spun from the sketch-panel series. These works are made of the same materials of the same size. These works are more controlled, and allow for the fun interaction of finding images that start with the same letter. I am enjoying the research involved in this project. I would like to show them all together when they are done.
